Let's teach a generation first aid

First aid is easy to learn, but it gives young people something amazing: the confidence to do the right thing when it really counts. With it, anyone can be the difference between life and death.

We want to get first aid on the national curriculum in England, creating millions more first aiders and saving more lives. By adding your name below, you can help us show that people through the country believe it's time to take action.

It’s time for first aid to take its place in every child’s education. Children want it. Parents want it. Teachers want it. And society needs it.

First aid can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. And we know from the young people on our training programmes that first aid training brings wider benefits, in terms of increased confidence. Our first aid programme is not limited to cover only CPR but also includes learning about other everyday hazards, such as choking and bleeding.

People who have been through first aid training are most likely to intervene in emergency situations when out and about in their everyday life. If more people can step forward, then society as a whole benefits.

First aid can be the difference between life and death. We want the schoolchildren of today to be that difference.
